About Us

In 2007 local residents became concerned about the deterioration of the Square and petitioned Camden Council for some action to be taken. A public meeting was held at the Primrose Hill Community Centre and a Friends group was formed with the purpose of working in close partnership with Camden Council to manage the Gardens. The Friends of Chalcot Square Gardens strive to represent the interests and needs of many different residents and visitors who use the Square, while ensuring the Garden’s upkeep and natural beauty.

The Friends are also committed to making the Square accessible and enjoyable to all local residents and organise seasonal events and activities throughout the year.
